Whilst our courses obviously focus on tennis, we also teach multi skills in our coaching squads to improve fitness and hand-eye co-ordination. We teach tennis through fun games as well as technical coaching as this keeps the children interested in the sport.

As children progress, we provide the opportunity for them to become tennis assistants and tennis leaders and help at our summer schools. This is a great experience for them if they are interested in becoming tennis coaches themselves and teaches great leadership skills.

All our courses are run by our highly-qualified coaches, who are all DBS (CRB) checked. We aim for a maximum of 1 coach to 8 children.

Tennis 4 All offers much more than just tennis; we encourage children to grow in confidence and build their self-esteem through fun sporting activities

2-4 years

Tots Tennis is for children ages 2-4 years. We incorporate child development and learning with tennis games and skills. We aim to improve children’s tennis whilst developing key skills including counting, colour recognition, agility, balance, coordination and body awareness. Tots Tennis sessions take place on Saturdays from 12-12.45pm.

4-6 years

Young kids are bundles of energy just running around without a care in the world. But the programme is designed to finesse their fine motor skills like balance, agility and coordination. At this stage it’s not about winning or losing but just getting to grips with the basics.

6-8 years

This looks a bit more like the tennis you know; overarm serves, rallies, scoring. Kids can use their new knowledge to play in competitions as teams or individuals. It’s still soft balls and small courts but they’re learning everything they’ll need for the game ahead.

8-9 years

All the skills they’ve been learning are turning them into tennis Titans. Time to throw in some tactics, extra techniques, problem-solving and leadership to.

9-10 years

Where does the time go? They’re fast approaching moody teenagers and so it’s time to let them loose on real, full-sized courts. Now it’s all about fine tuning and refining the techniques they’ve learned over the years. Welcome to the Big Leagues, junior.

10-18 years

At the Yellow stage, children are now playing on a full size court with the balls the professionals use. Children will continue to explore different game styles and start to find their own. They will evolve through well-rounded motor skills development whilst improving their physical capacities.
